Rohit Sharma Throws An Embarrassing Wide Pitch At A Baseball Game For Seattle Mariners — Watch

Seems like Rohit Sharma needs a lesson or two on pitching

India’s destructive opening batsman is also a part-time bowler, this is no news for his fans. However, Rohit has been able to hit the stumps while fielding and his throws from the deep are not way too off the target. Recently, the Mumbai Indians (MI) skipper was invited to throw the ceremonial first pitch for Seattle Mariners against Tampa Bay Rays at Safeco field, Seattle, Washington, United States of America.

Rohit geared up for the ceremonial pitch. The game is new to him- in cricket the bowler takes a run-up whether he is a spinner or a fast bowler. In baseball, the pitcher does not take a run up and generates power standing at a spot. Rohit threw the first pitch and it went wide of the catcher.

Here’s the video of the pitch –

Rohit posted a selfie with his wife Ritika Sajdeh via his Twitter account after the ceremonial pitch. The Indian opener went through a rough patch in recently-concluded Indian Premier League (IPL) as MI failed to make it into playoffs, missing the spot by a whisker after losing to Delhi Daredevils (DD) in their last league match.
