Rohit Sharma stuns everyone, takes UNBELIEVABLE diving catch to dismiss Colin Munro — Watch

After this series, Indian cricket team is programmed to play the last bilateral series of this year against Sri Lanka starting on November 16 in Kolkata

Team India defeated New Zealand in the final and the decider T20I game by 6 runs to take the series by 2-1 on November 7. After losing yet another toss in the 3-match T20I series, Virat Kohli & Co. had to bat first. Due to continuous drizzles in Trivandrum, the overs were reduced 8-overs aside. Just like the Rajkot match, the opening pair of Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan returned pavilion without scoring many runs. Amid an average batting performance, India managed to put 67 runs by the end of 8 overs.

When it came to defending the total, the men in blue pulled up their socks and performed phenomenally while fielding. Bhuvneshwar Kumar struck right in the first over to remove Martin Guptill while Rohit Sharma took a ‘flying’ catch to dismiss Colin Munro who designed the map of India’s defeat in the previous face-off.

The incident happened in the second over when Jasprit Bumrah came into the attack and Munro had the strike. To a short delivery of Bumrah, Munro tried to splice the ball up over mid-on. Rohit saw the ball coming and dive backward to take a spectacular catch and helped his team to be back in a do-or-die match.

Munro, who scored 109 runs in the 2nd T20I in Rajkot and remained unbeaten, ended up scoring 6 off 7 balls. If he had survived on the field anymore, he would surely be had taken the game away from the Indians.

The top Kiwi batsmen except for Glenn Phillips (11) and Colin de Grandhomme (17) could even score in double digits. Jasprit Bumrah remained the highest wicket-taker in the game and grabbed the Man of the Match and Player of the Tournament award for his superb bowling.
