Rashid Khan gets furious like a fast bowler as Colin Munro tries to reverse sweep in CPL 2017 qualifier 2 | Watch Video

Rashid Khan gave Colin Munro a cold stare like a lethal fast bowler as he tried to reverse sweep the ball for a boundary in CPL 2017 Qualifier 2

Afghanistan’s young leggie Rashid Khan is known for his splendid bowling, he is one of the best T20 bowlers in the world. But, in the qualifier 2 of Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2017 Qualifier 2, we say a whole new ‘avatar’ of Rashid as New Zealand batsman Colin Munro tries to play a cheeky reverse sweep. The incident happened on the last ball of the 4th over as Rashid was bowling his first in the powerplay. In an attempt to turn an economical over to a decent one Munro played the reverse sweep trying to get a boundary.

The ball went towards the backward point and there was no scored. But what happened next was something Munro would not have even thought of. As the over was completed, Rashid walked up to him on his follow through and gave a dead cold stare to him, almost the likes of fast bowler from 70s and 80s gave after bowling a cracker of a bouncer.

Rashid bowled a superb spell for Guyana Amazon Warriors (GAW) who were defending 160 in the second qualifier of CPL 2017 against Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR). Rashid gave just 23 runs in his spell of four overs. The 19-year-old picked up the wicket of skipper Dwayne Bravo too trying to bring his team back into the game.

Here’s the video of the incident-

But Munro had the last laugh as he came to open for TKR and carried his bat scoring 57 runs from 51 balls. The explosive Kiwi batsman suppressed his natural instinct to attack and go after the bowlers. He had the last laugh as Rashid’s spell went in vain, a sensible inning guiding TKR into the final of CPL 2017.

TKR were able to chase down the total with 2 overs to spare. They will be going up against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in the final of CPL 2017.
