Indian cricketers like Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni are earning in millions be it from their contracts, endorsements or prize money and it is fascinating. But recently what Pakistan ministry revealed about their players and their pay cheques have made us curious.

According to several media reports, Asad Shafiq is the highest paid Pakistani cricketer in 4 years. The 31-year-old cricketer has earned around Rs 111 million and leading the list released by Pakistan government during Senate session chaired by presiding officer Tahir Mushhadi.

The next highest earning Pakistani player on the list is the veteran all-rounder, Mohammad Hafeez. He has earned Rs 97.3 million in the last four years and is an active member of the national cricket team across all the three formats.

Now, let’s talk about the current skipper of Pakistan Cricket Team, Sarfraz Ahmed. The man who led Pakistan in the 2017 Champions Trophy finals against India, earns around $ 0.30 million in a calendar year. However, former skipper Misbah-ul-Haq has earned more than his successor. Misbah pocketed Rs 71.4 million over the past 4 years while Sarfraz received Rs 69.1 million.

Legendary Pakistani former cricketer and captain Shahid Afridi made Rs 55.6 million in the last 4 years while Younus Khan, who retired with Misbah, made Rs 59.8 million in 4 years time.

Among the current members of the team, opener Azhar Ali earns Rs 0.20 million a year while his partner Ahmed Shehzad has earned Rs 58.9 million in the last 48 months. Players like Shoaib Malik, Junaid Khan and Imad Wasim have earned Rs 54.7 million, Rs 40 million and Rs 20 million respectively.
