MS Dhoni’s ‘dream come true’ moment: Launches his first global cricket academy in Dubai – Watch Video

The coaching staff, led by former Mumbai bowler Vishal Mahadik, is well equipped to manage the progress of the students in MS Dhoni Cricket Academy

Mahendra Singh Dhoni inaugurated his first global cricket academy in Dubai on November 11. The academy has been jointly launched by Dubai-based Pacific Sports Club and Aarka Sports Club. The academy has been named as MS Dhoni Cricket Academy (MSDCA) and will have coaches from India.

As reported by the news agency PTI, Dhoni inaugurated the acadamey with a number of excited trainees, parents and other key stakeholders around. Speaking about his association with the academy, Dhoni said,

“I am delighted to be a part of this venture and will contribute in every way possible to make it a success. It has been my dream to contribute to the game in every way possible. This is the first step in that direction. The enthusiasm of the trainees is what will drive this venture.”

As learned from the reports, the young and aspiring cricketers joining this academy will be benefited with different facilities including four turf, three cement and three matted pitches, spin and swing bowling machine, safety nets, lights for night practice, in-house sports shop for quality cricket gear and video analysis.

The academy will be conducting matches at regular intervals along with making the trainees play in tournaments to let them gain vital match practice. There is also an aim to engage the parents in the overall development of their children while they train at the academy. Besides, Dhoni will fly to Dubai frequently to give hands-on training to the kid
