Welcome to InUth’s coverage of India vs Bangladesh one-off Test, Day 5. We will be bringing you the live action from Hyderabad Test as India inch closer to another win. India needs 7 wickets to wrap up the proceedings and register yet another series win. Bangladesh needs 356 runs to win the Test or to play out the whole day to draw it. However, it seems like Bangladesh are likely to try for a draw.

Shakib Al Hasan and Mahmudullah are currently batting, the duo has put on 28 runs for the fourth wicket yet. It will be a long day for Bangladesh batsmen as Virat Kohli’s tactic would be to attack with full force. Shakib scored 82 in the first innings.

The visitors have to more in-form batsmen coming up after the current duo. Skipper Mushfiqur Rahim scored his 5th century in the first innings. Rahim held onto his end when wickets were falling. He will be expected to take control of the situation if a wicket falls.

Bangladesh’s young all-rounder Mehedi Hasan too scored his maiden fifty in first innings. Hasan’s services too will be needed as the game proceeds on Day 5.

Indian spinners Ashwin and Jadeja will try to take advantage of the pitch conditions. They will try to bowl into the rough to get uneven bounce and turn. Ashwin might add another five-wicket haul to his name the way he bowled on Day 5.

Indian seamers will try to take as many wickets they can in the first session. Bhuvneshwar Kumar will swing the ball late like he did on Day 4 to get Mehedi Hasan’s wicket. Umesh Yadav and Ishant Sharma will try to bang the ball short of length in order to trouble the batsmen with uneven bounce. They will target the left-handers by coming round the wicket.
