IPL Auction 2018: KXIP spend Rs 45.6 crore on Day 1, KL Rahul top pick for Rs 11 crore. Here’s full list

Besides Rahul, KXIP also bought players like Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuvraj Singh for 7.6 crore and Rs 2 crore respectively

Bollywood actress Preity Zinta co-owned Kings XI Punjab franchise spent around 45 crore on Day1 of the Indian Premier League auction held at Bengaluru on Day 1. Indian opener KL Rahul was their top pick as they bought him for Rs 11 crore.

Besides Rahul, KXIP also bought players like Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuvraj Singh for 7.6 crore and Rs 2 crore respectively.

During the auction, KXIP exercised their RTM option on Australia’s David Miller after Mumbai Indian had made a bid for Rs 3 crore.

Punjab were among the front-runners at the auction, bagging several high profile players.

Earlier before the auction, KXIP had retained spinner Axar Patel. The next auction will be held in Bengaluru on January 28.
