IPL 2018, RR vs SRH: With a new face in the side, Rajasthan Royals will look forward beating the Sunrisers Hyderabad in Jaipur

Among all the new-generation cricketers bought by Rajasthan Royals, Nagaur’s Mahipal Lomror is the only local player. Two years back, he was the part of the Indian U-19 World Cup squad in 2016 held in Bangladesh where he proved his worth with his all-round performance. In 6 matches, he scored 133 runs and plucked 7 wickets (including a 5-wicket haul against New Zealand).

Later in that year, he stepped into the Rajasthan domestic cricket and represented his state against Saurashtra in Ranji Trophy. In the recent domestic season, he performed exceptionally well. In the Ranji Trophy 2017-18 season, he plucked 13 wickets and topped the table for Rajasthan. In the Vijay Hazare trophy, Lomror scored 246 runs in six games and took 4 wickets.

In the IPL 2017, Mahipal spent the season under the guidance of Rahul Dravid in the Delhi camp. However, this year, he is fortunate enough to get another chance and represent RR. he was bought for his base price Rs 20 lakhs.

The 18-year-old all-rounder feels that his left-arm orthodox bowling could be an important factor for his team in IPL 2018. In an interview, he stated that at the Under-19 World Cup 2016, his performance impressed several cricket pundits. And in T20s there’s a huge importance of an all-rounder.

According to Lomror, his father has been his great support since his childhood days. On the other hand, his mother, who has a less knowledge about the sport, is still worried about his job.
