Former England captain Michael Vaughan on April 16 predicted that U-19 speedster Shivam Mavi will represent Team India soon. Mavi, the local boy from Noida, Uttar Pradesh, was a part of Indian U-19 team which won the ICC U-19 World Cup held earlier this year.

Vaughan, who is in the country for his maiden IPL commentary stint, took to his Twitter handle to predict Mavi’s future with the Indian team. Vaughan wrote:

“Shivam Mavi is bowling 145 kph …. he is 19 yrs old …. !!!! #IPL … He will play for #India …. Very soon …”

Vaughan’s tweet came after Mavi took his maiden IPL wicket by bowling out Delhi Daredevils skipper Gautam Gambhir during the ongoing IPL match between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Delhi Daredevils (DD) at the Eden Gardens today.

Mavi grabbed the wicket of Gambhir on the last ball of the third over.
