IPL 2018, RCB vs MI: Umesh Yadav Picks 2 Wickets Off First 2 Balls, Becomes 2nd Bowler To Do So. Twitter Is Abuzz

IPL 2018, RCB vs MI: Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma and Evin Lewis have steadied things for now, but they need to carry on

Umesh Yadav achieved something that rarely happens in cricket, irrespective of the format!

RCB’s Umesh Yadav picked up two wickets off the first two balls of the match, which does not happen often. Mumbai Indians, who are eager to score a win, are hosting Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Wankhede Stadium. MI’s luck with the toss was nothing different this time as they lost four tosses on the trot. Virat Kohli had no hesitation in opting to bowl first. That has been the trend this season in IPL.

Yadav picked the wickets of Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan, thereby joining an elite group of bowlers to have done do in the first couple of balls. There is only one other person who achieved the same in IPL — Praveen Kumar, who did it way back in 2011.

They say cricket is a great leveller. In the last match, Yadav was hit massively and now things have changed in two balls. That is all it took.

Umesh Yadav conceded 27 runs in his last over of the last match.

Today picks 2 wickets off first 2 balls.

Unpredictable! #MIvRCB

As we speak, Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma and Evin Lewis have steadied things but they need to carry on because Virat Kohli is deadly when it comes to chasing and hence a solid target is necessary for Mumbai Indians if they hope to win this one.
