“We have been playing some good cricket. We have six matches to go. Our target would be to win the remaining four-five matches from here on,” Mavi told reporters on the eve of the game.

Playoffs will begin from May 22 and the finals will be held on May 27 at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.

Mavi said the team would look to exploit CSK’s weakness.

“They are experienced. But we have been doing well. We will focus on their weakness. Yes, we are a bit short on experience but if we focus on their weakness, we will win,” Mavi said when asked about how the men in purple will try to counter the reservoir of experience in the CSK ranks.

Mavi was the part of the U-1p Indian team that won the ICC U-19 World Cup in January this year. He grabbed the spotlight for his bowling speed during the tournament.

Impressed with his performance, KKR bought him for Rs 3 crore during the IPL 2018 auctions.
