IPL 2018: After Jersey Exchange, KL Rahul Gives Away ‘Stylish Cricketer’ Award To Fan — Watch

IPL 2018: KL Rahul has played 13 games in this season so far and scored 652 runs at an average of 59.67, including 6 half-centuries.

KL Rahul, the young Indian batsman, has been enjoying the purple patch right from the beginning of the eleventh edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). He started his journey by scoring the all-time fastest IPL fifty in this season and went on to become the first batsman to go past 600 runs this year. However, his splendid knocks have gone to waste in the last few games. Despite giving perfect starts to his team, Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) failed to fetch victories in the recent matches.

On May 16, Rahul scored a magnificent 94 runs at the Wankhede Stadium while chasing a target of 187 runs against Mumbai Indians (MI). Unfortunately, he lost his wicket in the 19th over and the rest of the KXIP batsmen failed to score the remaining 20 runs after his dismissal. As a result, they lost the game by 3 runs and lost their place in the points table.

Despite the loss, Rahul bagged the ‘Most Stylish Player’ award and also grabbed the Orange cap. While on his way back to the dressing, Rahul was seen giving away his trophy to someone in the crowd.

Here’s the video:

You don’t just casually throw your trophy towards the crowd until and unless you are KL Rahul! . Because at the end of the day, the innings last night didn’t matter a bit to this man.. . What we can say is that we absolutely loved the knock and in times to come, he will more often find himself on the winning side given the form that he is in and the talent that he possesses! . . . . . . . #ChinUp #KeepTheBelief #KLR #RahulKL

Prior to this incident, Rahul exchanged his jersey with Hardik Pandya as a sign of respect for each other and for the game.

Play hard, play fair! Respect comes first.

Super knock, by a super player and an even better friend @klrahul11 #MIvKXIP @mipaltan @lionsdenkxip pic.twitter.com/dNvF7BUqn0
