A left-arm seamer and batsman, Arjun has been picked for the four-day matches

Arjun Tendulkar, son of Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar, has been named in the India U-19 cricket team for the upcoming tour of Sri Lanka next month.

A left-arm seamer and batsman, Arjun has been picked for the four-day matches. The team is scheduled to play two four-day and five one-day matches in Sri Lanka in July.

Earlier, Arjun attended the training camp at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) Stadium in Dharamsala. The camp was arranged by the National Cricket Academy.

Arjun was spotted bowling at the Mumbai Indians’ practice session in the recently concluded Indian Premier League (IPL) season 2018.

Arjun also participated in Spirit of Cricket Global Challenge in Australia organised by Sydney Cricket Ground in January.

Arjun made it to headlines as he picked up 4 wickets with his left-arm fast bowling and scored a quickfire knock of 48 runs from just 27 balls.

Soon after he was named in the U-19 squad, Twitterati poured their congratulations for the youngster as they are excited to see ‘Tendulkar No 2’.
