Sachin Tendulkar and other tweets which will make MS Dhoni’s record 100th ODI stumping SUPER SPECIAL

Sachin Tendulkar was quick to congratulate MS Dhoni on his 100th ODI stumping in the 5th ODI against Sri Lanka at Colombo

MS Dhoni surpassed former Sri Lankan wicketkeeper-batsman Kumar Sangakkara by stumping Akila Dananjaya and completing record 100 ODI stumpings and also becoming the first to do so. Dhoni has got several records to his name during the ongoing India vs Sri Lanka five-match ODI series. He equaled the record of Sangakarra in 2nd ODI at Pallekele. It was an easy stumping for Dhoni as Dananjaya gave him a gift after coming down the wicket and getting bamboozled by leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal. Dhoni celebrated it with grace having a laugh with Chahal and skipper Virat Kohli in the 5th ODI at Colombo.

Dhoni seems to be conquering records after records on his tour to Sri Lanka for the limited over series. He succeeded in proving his critics wrong in every way possible by rescuing India in two ODIs at Pallekele and guiding India to a win playing the perfect role of the finisher he is expected to do every time he comes to bat.

Dhoni showed everyone who doubted his place in the side and considered him unsuitable for the coming 2019 World Cup. As Dhoni became the first to reach the feat in ODIs, Twitter was flooded with congratulatory messages. But, two tweets stood out including legendary Indian player Sachin Tendulkar and his first Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

Who said lightning doesn’t strike twice? Today it did for the 100th time! Well done, @msdhoni! Keep them coming 🙂 pic.twitter.com/HteDcKPWBi

First man to punish a 100 men who crossed the Lakshman Rekha. What more, it happens in Lanka. Talk about fitting tributes.

When he started, Wicketkeeping was his weaker suit…he’ll finish as the best wicketkeeper of his generation. Dhoni-G faster than 3G-4G. /p>— Aakash Chopra (@cricketaakash) September 3, 2017

Not only Dhoni’s Maverick with the bat and behind the stumps, he has been an indispensable part of the decision-making as well. Dhoni is the first one to whom Kohli looks up to when he needs advice on taking the DRS. In the 4th ODI, Dhoni was able to convert two DRS into successful ones and proved why he is considered to be the best at it.
