MS Dhoni pulls off fastest stumping of the series, leaves Angelo Mathews dumbfounded. Watch Video

Mathews tried to push it back in but missed the ball. Dhoni was quick enough to pick the ball and dislodge the bails

After hammering the Lankans in the Tests and ODIs by 3-0 and 5-0 respectively, Team India faced the Lankans for the last in the one-off T20 on September 6 at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. Unlike the previous two series, the Lankan openers completely destroyed the Indian bowling attack. Openers Niroshan Dickwella and Upul Tharanga gave the perfect start to the team and hit the attacking bowlers brutally. Despite losing few early wickets, the home team didn’t stop and maintained a run rate of almost 10 RPO in the initial overs.

The Lankans were playing at 60/2 while Munaweera and Angelo Mathews were playing a phenomenal cricket. The batting pair was rooting for a big score, however, Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s lightning fast work behind the stumps cost another loss to the hosts. To a delivery by Yuzvendra Chahal, Mathews tried to push it back in but missed the ball. Dhoni was quick enough to pick the ball and dislodge the bails. The on-field umpires took the review and which showed that Mathews was out.
