Kedar Jadhav invents new shot, plays chest-cut for FOUR off Adam Milne and it’s hilarious — Watch Video

It seems the street-smart cricketer has more to himself than just shots off the bat

Kedar Jadhav it was who stunned one and all, first by walking in at No.4 and then inventing a new shot. He played a sensational chest cut (if one could call that), that also proved effective as he picked up a boundary for his efforts in the 1st One Day International against New Zealand. But just when he looked like getting started but could not kick on as he fell prey to a callous shot of Santner, he departed for 12 runs lobbing a ball straight back to Santner on his follow through. The score was 71 at that point of time. But, that is when an in-form Dinesh Karthik walked in to join his captain who was playing his 200th ODI & was well set by then. Karthik started picking up the gaps for singles and twos and putting the bad balls away. But this is an incident we are focusing on that happened in the 9th over when the score was 44 for 2 and Virat Kohli was on strike.

THE EVENT:

The bowler was Adam Milne and the ball jagged back into Kedar, he did not want to edge it as India was looking to build a partnership and hence decided to take it on his chest. It must have hurt him, but that is the person he is, mentally and physically strong.

Earlier in the day, Virat Kohli-led team India won the toss and opted to bat first in the 1st One Day International against New Zealand. The match is being played at the Wankhede Stadium, a familiar hunting ground for the men in blue. Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan opened for India, but it seemed that the problem of India facing left-arm seam continues as Dhawan and Rohit fell prey to Trent Boult, who got the visitors of the dream start they must have been hoping for. India was soon reduced to 29 for 2, with the star openers back in the hut for 20 and 9 respectively.

Boult and Southee were bowling well as a pair as Indian skipper Virat Kohli walked into the middle for his 200th One Day International. Virat came into the middle to a rapturous welcome. Kohli was joined by Kedar Jadhav, to which people took offence as they felt Dinesh Karthik should have been slotted in there.

As we speak, Virat Kohli is approaching yet another century, that too this one will be special as it is his 200th ODI.
