India vs Australia first Test at Pune: Twitter switches on ‘sarcasm mode’ after 333-run loss

India handed a 333-run defeat as Australian spinners wrapped up Indian innings within two sessions, Virat Kohli says, 'We did not play good cricket'.

A disappointing win for India in the first Test at Pune in the hands of Australia. Well. saying that would be an understatement as Aussie spinners seemed to have cracked the code against Indian batting lineup. This win would be considered as one of their biggest seeing the kind of form Indian team was before the start of the series. The Kangaroos should back themselves for the stunning defeat as they gave the hosts a taste of their own medicine, that too on a turning track.

India never looked in control of the game after Day 2 as they kept on losing wickets. India were bundled out for 105 and 107 in first and second innings respectively. They could not manage to bat out at least 2 sessions on both Day 2 and Day 3 as batting collapse were quite a usual in both the innings.

Fans took it to Twitter to express their anger, some did it with anger, rest with sarcasm.

Break legs of Indian batsmen, no I’m not asking for punishment but to save them from LBW. #INDvsAUS #IndvAus Steve Smith Kohli

I think now is the right team to unleash ABVP Pune at Australian team. #IndvsAus

Steve O’Keefe seemed to be a bowler who came out of syllabus for India as the main focus before the series was on Mitchell Starc all along. It seems like instead of Aniket Chaudhary preparing them for Starc in the nets they should be practising their defense against spin bowling which was considered as their strong point.

This man for Australian of the year 2017.#IndvAus pic.twitter.com/7YVRBRJfJp

4 back to back stinkers in the name of reviews taken by India. Appalling! Even Mushfiqur Rahim would use his brain better. #IndvsAus

Not only in batting department but Indian lacked agility in the fielding section as well as they dropped catches, that too of skipper Steven Smith who went on to score hundred in the second innings.

India’s batting collapse from today was their worst such in history! Credits to the pitch or the Aussie bowlers? @Paytm #INDvAUS pic.twitter.com/qbHWxTIRWB

Earlier, on Day 2 everyone praised the magical spell of O’Keefe, taking six wickets. Players across the world took it to Twitter on February 24 as they praised the young spinner.
