Stumping Of The Year: MS Dhoni fools Glenn Maxwell, removes bails in flash. Watch Video

After breaking the stumps, Dhoni threw the ball up in the air to celebrate the success. Maxwell ended up scoring 14 runs off 18 balls

Once again it’s openly proven that until Mahendra Singh Dhoni is there behind the stumps for India, nobody has to worry at all. Just like the Chennai ODI, MS Dhoni guided spinner Yuzvendra Chahal right from the wicket-keeping position and their plan resulted in removing Glen Maxwell who was looking dangerous as usual. He kept on instructing Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal in the Chennai and repeated the same in Kolkata as well. Once again Chahal was lucky enough to dismiss Maxwell when he was on the verge of getting settle while chasing an easy total of 253 runs from 50 overs.

It happened in the 23rd over when the Aussies were at 106/3. Maxwell had the strike and Yuvzvendra Chahal was into the attack. MS Dhoni kept on talking to him and, as audible from the stump mic, he said,”Ye wala accha hai, aise hi daal (This one is good, keep the line and length intact).”

Chahal followed the instruction thoroughly and conceded no runs in the first five balls. In the last ball, Maxwell got tempted to hit a biggie and moved down the line to hit the ball. Unlike his plan, he missed the ball which MS Dhoni grabbed after fumbling a bit and dislodged the bails within a blink of an eye.
