Indian opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan has been in ominous form since the ICC Champions Trophy. But he had to return home midway from the Sri Lankan tour because of his ailing mother, and now will miss the first three One-Day Internationals against Australia because his wife Ayesha Mukherjee is unwell. Shikhar Dhawan is with his wife, who is recovering. Recently, he posted a picture of him with his beloved wife and the picture had an emotional message with it, which made twitteratis feel sorry. But they did wish speedy recovering because they do not want to see their hero miss out on a crucial international match, that too against Australia. He reminded his fans that he would be beside his wife in such needy times. He feels him being beside his wife will give her ‘strength’ to recover quickly. Just goes to show that the marauder on the field with the bat has a soft heart.

Now, with Shikhar Dhawan not playing the first three ODI’s, it will be interesting to see who partners Rohit Sharma at the top. In all probability, Ajinkya Rahane would be promoted to partner Rohit Sharma at the top. The first One Day International of the 5-match ODI series takes place on 17th September in Chennai. It will be a big moment for David Warner and Steve Smith, who will be playing their first game in India in coloured clothes.
