Harmanpreet Kaur’s Dangerous Strokeplay Cracks Car’s Glass, Almost Injures BBC Journalist — Watch

Always keep your eyes on the ball, especially if you are on the sidelines

Harmanpreet Kaur is one of the fiercest strikers in women’s cricket world. Her knock of 171 in World Cup 2017 against Australia is a testimony to that. Recently, in the Kiya Super League, was in one of her best forms as she scored 74 runs off 44 deliveries for Lancashire Thunder against Yorkshire Diamonds.

The 29-year-old struck 6 sixes in her innings. While one of her sixes cracked the glass of a car outside stadium, the other one almost injured BBC journalist Stuart Flinders reporting on the sidelines.

Here are the highlights of her innings –

This was Harmanpreet’s first half-century of the tournament. She led her team to a fighting total of 154 in the first innings against Yorkshire Diamonds. With a win by 9 runs against Yorkshire, Lancashire are currently fourth in the Super League T20 2018.

She made a comeback after a string of single-digit scores including two ducks. It was her second match-winning knock of the tournament. The previous one being the 34-run knock against Surrey Stars leading her team to a win with a six off the penultimate delivery.

Harmanpreet and Smriti Mandhana are the only two Indian players in Super League T20 2018. While Harmanpreet has scored 120 runs from 6 innings, Mandhana has piled on 416 runs from 8 innings at an average of 69.33 including one century and two half-centuries.
