Ganesh Chaturthi 2017: Gautam Gambhir to Hardik Pandya, cricketers chant ‘Ganpati Bappa Morya’, wish fans on Twitter!

It was heart warming to see that our sportsmen also found time to share a post on Twitter wishing the nation on the occasion

Ganesh Chaturthi, also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi, a ten-day festival, will begin from today and will be celebrated all across India and especially ceremonialized with full fervour in Maharashtra – the state Sachin Tendulkar hails from, growing up on the streets of Mumbai. He also celebrates the festival along with his family. Sachin has in the past mentioned the influence of God Ganesha in his life.

It was heart warming to see that our sportsmen also found time to share a post on Twitter wishing the nation on the occasion. For example, cricket broadcaster and former player Aakash Chopra posted a video along with a caption which read, ” Here’s a lovely message to remember while celebrating #GaneshChaturthi Great work @iam_juhi.”

He had a prominent message to give everyone about keeping the festival and jubilation clean by not polluting the environment during ‘visarjan’ (immersion of the idols in the waters).

There were other cricketers too who joined the bandwagon and wished the nation and their fans on the auspicious occasion. Here are the tweets by some of the most renowned cricketers.
