Chris Lynn bags a whopping ‘million dollar’ deal in BBL For Brisbane Heat, biggest ever in history!

Chris Lynn got nicknamed 'Lynnsanity' for his big hitting in the IPL 2017. Lynn once struck Shaun Tait's delivery out of the park

Chris Lynn is one of the most destructive batsmen in modern day cricket. Lynn has been in and out of the side due to three shoulder injuries he suffered from but is set to make a comeback in Big Bash League (BBL) 2017-18 for Brisbane Heat. The 27-year-old has bagged a million dollar deal, the biggest ever deal in the history of the league. Lynn has a formidable record in the T20 format though he has not got enough chances in the international circuit. He did well in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017 as well playing for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and opening the innings. He and Sunil Narine decimated bowling attacks in the 10th edition helping KKR reach the playoffs.

Chris Lynn’s fitness

“I’ve had some good reports from the surgeon and the Queensland Cricket medical staff and we’re working to the recovery plan. It is feeling okay now, although there is still a way to go,” he told Cricbuzz.

“I’m honoured that the Heat have shown confidence in me for the coming seasons and given us the opportunity to achieve something special as a club in the future,” Lynn added.

“To be in [sic] the same side as a legend like Brendon McCullum and enjoy some success along the way made it even more memorable,” he said. “The fact we have locked-up Vettori and Bond and a good proportion of our squad for the next few years bodes well for the future,” he added.

“The Heat has evolved into a club for all Queensland fans and we’re determined to make a success of the opportunity we have ahead of us. It was one of the best experiences of my career to play in front of five sold-out home crowds at the Gabba,” he concluded.

The Queensland batsman has represented Brisbane Heat since 2011. His big hitting will be a crowd puller all along the upcoming tournament.
