Shikar Dhawan and ICC tournaments go hand in hand yes that is exactly what he proved again. He may be the butt of all jokes but when the team needs him, he is there and Shikhar Dhawan has showed that once again today by getting a crucial fifty against South Africa in a must-win today at Oval. In the process he pipped Kane Williamson to become the highest run getter in this coveted ICC event. He has not put a foot wrong. Dhawan has been a player who has risen to the occasion, be it his two centuries in 2013 ICC Champions Trophy or be it a century at the 2015 World Cup against South Africa. Hence a lot of memorable ICC knocks he has played that has made him the fastest to 1000 runs in ICC tournaments, he goes past Sachin Tendulkar, who reached the figure after 18 games, Shikhar has bettered it by two.
