ICC Champions Trophy 2017: ‘Tumse na ho payega’, says Pakistani media after India vs Pakistan game

Pakistan lacked the intent in such a big competition. As a result, India won the game and by 124 runs while Pakistan team received a huge criticism everywhere on the social media

ICC Champions Trophy 2017 is currently underway in England and Wales and on June 4, we witnessed the clash between India and Pakistan at Edgbaston. Though it was a much-awaited game between the arch rivals of the cricketing world, somewhere it failed to meet the expectations of the cricket followers. It seemed that Indian players were the only ones who played the game willingly while the Pakistani players looked extremely helpless. In the first innings, the Indian batting top-order, including Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Yuvraj Singh and Hardik Pandya, brutally destroyed the Pakistan’s bowling attack. In the next half, Sarfaraz Ahmad & Co. failed to defend the target of 324 runs and collapsed within 164 runs and lost the game by 124 runs by the Duckworth-Lewis (DL) rule.

Both the teams though were equal in terms of fielding. Which was uniformly terrible. But Pakistan especially lacked the intent in such a big competition. As a result, India won the game and topped the Group B table with 2 points. On the other hand, Pakistan received a huge criticism everywhere on the social media.

Moreover, Pakistan’s media trolled their players on national television while one the news channels termed Wahab Riaz’s bowling as ‘badtareen’, which means disgusting!

People Reaction On Social Media After Pakistan… by aliyaali123456

The reactions on Twitter clearly shows how pissed off the Pakistani fans are with their team’s performance against India on a global platform.

The biggest indication of Pakistan cricketing decline is the likes of Ahmad Shahzad and Wahab Riaz playing regularly for us.

Wahab Riaz — you are an utter disgrace to your profession

Still a better bowler than *Wahab Riaz* pic.twitter.com/Nb4rpPJ5Mx

Even Wahab Riaz is more useless than Madhuri’s dupatta. pic.twitter.com/XlWNYJQDls

I have a found a way that can make Wahab Riaz a good bowler. He needs someone, preferably Aamir, to deliver first ball of his every over.

Even Stuart Binny is a much better bowler than Wahab Riaz

Imad Wasim’s hairstyle is a beautiful tribute to Anjali from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.

And the one (by a journalist of Pakistani origin) which described the Indo-Pak relation within 140 characters so beautifully:

Well, it’s something more than enough to digest for the Pakistani players now. They were shattered in the first game itself and there are two more games left to play. May God bless them (That’s only what we could say).
