ICC Champions Trophy 2017: This is India's opener, it will be an uphill journey for them to defend the title Mahendra Singh Dhoni won four years back

India take on Pakistan today in the most-awaited clash of the year at Birmingham in ICC Champions Trophy 2017, where team India under the leadership of Virat Kohli is defending its title. It is a big occasion to play Pakistan in a cricket match as it brings the heart beats of these two sub continental cricketing giants to a halt. It also holds political relevance, hence tightening the screws ahead of the game is highly important. This is India’s opener, it will be an uphill journey for them to defend the title Mahendra Singh Dhoni won four years back. The line up is more or less the same.

Up and young fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah who is young to international cricket, it is understandably a big event in his life, a event he has waited all his life for. Jasprit just ahead of the game in an interview says, ” You do not play often against  Pakistan, so when ever you play there is a little bit of pressure, but you always try to treat it as a normal game, be calm. Doing your routines holds the key. It is a big match, we are prepared.”

He added, ” Indian team wherever it goes there is immense support and it helps.”
