ICC Champions Trophy 2017 India vs Pakistan: Hardik Pandya describes the meaning of Indo-Pak games, says it’s always like a festival when India wins

This would be the first India vs Pakistan ODI game for Hardik Pandya. He is currently in a very good form and has also played a phenomenal knock of 80 runs and remained not out in the second practice game against Bangladesh

The eighth edition of the ICC Champions Trophy and all the top eight teams are present in England to put their best efforts to win the 2017 title. On the other hand, the entire world is eagerly waiting for June 4 as on that the arch rivals—India and Pakistan—will be locking horns on the second game of Group B at Edgbaston, Birmingham. Meanwhile, the young all-rounder of team India, Hardik Pandya shared his experience and memories with past India vs Pakistan clashes.

While speaking to the official broadcaster of ICC Champions Trophy 2017, Star Sports, Pandya described how the games between India and Pakistan used to be like festivals. He shared his memories linked to India’s victory in the 2007 ICC World T20 where they defeated Pakistan by 2 runs.

He said,”We have always excited for the India-Pakistan match. I remember when India lifted the 2007 ICC T20 match. I was 17 then, though my father allowed me to go out and celebrate. It was 12:30 am and the roads were full of people waving the national flag. It was an awesome experience.”

Hardik now plays as one of the key all-rounders in the team and performed extremely well in the recently concluded Indian Premier League while playing for Mumbai Indians. He also played a phenomenal knock of 80 runs and remained not out in the second practice game against Bangladesh.

On the other hand, Team India seems fully prepared for the forthcoming clash of June against Pakistan. Virat Kohli & Co. have already outplayed New Zealand and Bangladesh in the practice games and now it’s time for the biggest game of this tournament.
