Breaking: Virat Kohli will NOT play against Australia at Dharamshala, Shreyas Iyer called in as cover

India vs Australia, Virat Kohli PC: Shreyas Iyer, the centurion against visitors in the warm-up game has been called in as cover, that is the latest

Yes, you heard it right, Virat Kohli may not be featuring in the all-important Dharamshala decider, which is going to decide the stake claimers at the coveted Border-Gavaskar trophy. Shreyas Iyer, the centurion against Australia in the warm-up game has been called in as cover, that is the latest we are getting. Virat Kohli had got a shoulder injury and hence had to sit out and watch the game from the dressing room at Ranchi. After the DRS and the brain fade controversy, this was the last thing any Indian who knows a little about the sport would be dreading but it has happened. With news pouring in we find out that Yuvraj Singh has joined Amitabh Bachchan in slamming the Oz media over the Donald Trump comment. On a TV channel Yuvraj Singh said, “It’s a big compliment for Virat if Aussie media is comparing him with Trump. It means he is the best.” Shashank Manohar makes an U-turn, will stay as the ICC Chairman.

Daily Telegraph: “Virat Kohli has become the Donald Trump of world sport. Just like President Trump, Kohli decided to blame the media as a means of trying to hide the egg smeared right across his face,”

Virat  Kohli in his Facebook live Press conference says (MANUSCRIPT)

“They are selling it the Australian media. They are doing their jobs and every has an opinion. They have played good cricket they have challenged us and was commendable. Credit goes to Shaun Marsh and Peter Handscomb. All to play for everyone is excited for it. I hope it finishes well. We will take a call later tonight or tomorrow, me and the physio will take a call. I want to push my body to be fit, but everything has to be taken into account. Will play at Dharamshala if I pass fitness test.”

I will play only if I am 100 percent fit, says Captain @imVkohli on the eve of the fourth Test against Australia #INDvAUS pic.twitter.com/u2Y0UqDhOp

“Every match is crucial game and I take this game as a same match. These controversies are bound to happen. And an injury is an injury and if I cannot play there are boys who will take the team forward so there is nothing to worry. The injury has the tendency of getting aggravated on the field so it is a bit different but again never know I have taken medication to get back to normal movements.”

About the Dharamshala wicket: ” The wicket is good for everyone, it is an opportunity for ball and bat both to dominate. Equal opportunities to make an impact. It is a good cricketing wicket.”

About Ravindra Jadeja he funnily said that ‘he has surprised me.’

How will Lord Virat Kohli’s absence peg back team India’s chances?

He is a champion cricketer and he has proved it time and again. Virat Kohli is a big match player, he is a champion he loves the big stage and that is what big players are made up of likr the Brian Laras and the Inzamam ul Haqs of the world. Virat Kohli has told over and over again that he loves the big stage and he so dearly wants to be there. Well we all know he is due for a big one, hence the Dharamshala match becomes even more important as they, ‘he may have saves the best for the last.’

Virat Kohli says he will only play in final Test if 100 per cent fit. Call likely to be made after fitness test tomorrow morn #INDvAUS

India have a WHACK, WHACK at the nets: WATCH!

What makes us believe so?

During a customary warm-up game today he came in with a strapped shoulder and Iyer back in the mix is pretty indicative of what is cooking. Virat Kohli has any way been woefully out-of form, has not even breached 20 in five innings, which is his worst run since he joined the national team. This is a major blow to India’s chances of getting back the Border-Gavaskar trophy as their premier batsman whose sheer presence in the dressing room would have helped is missing, Virat Kohli. But early today morning Virat Kohli was there at the ground getting a feel of things.

@ In the meanwhile reports have poured in that Mahendra Singh Dhoni may be playing the 2019 Cricket World Cup.

He also picked up an award recently and has been having a great run for the last two years. This will on the other hand be a massive opportunity for Shreyas Iyer to make a mark for himself at the international stage after impressing one and all at the domestic levels.  In 2015, Iyer was awarded with an Indian Premier League contract of Rs 2.6 crore for the Delhi Daredevils. India could make another change if they want to go in with a three-pronged pace attack, Ravichandran Ashwin could make way for Mohammad Shami.

Australia may also make a change by getting Jackson Bird instead of Stephen O’ Keefe who has been a revolution for Australia in this series.

Batting maestro Dilip Vengsarkar spoke about Shreyas Iyer and said, “It’s good news. He’s talented with lot of potential. He’s been consistent. It’s a big opportunity for him.”

Mumbai selection panel chairman Milind Rege said, “Someone who has scored tons of runs over the last three years has finally got his chance. He thoroughly deserved it.”

All said and done this news will make it even more difficult for India to win it. Steve Waugh who has taken stands in the series and tried to douse the fire revealed his nemesis as Angus Fraser.
