Apparently, Shane Warne said that India cannot afford him for the job of the Indian coach. Indian media made a huge hue and cry about it, calling this act or statement of the legend as pompous. As the hunt for the next Indian coach snowballs with applicants coming in last-minute and then to hear a statement made by Warne such as this is not expected. Virender Sehwag, Tom Moody and then the current coach Anil Kumble are in the race for India’s next cricket coach.
Shane Warne finally cleared the air on the comment he made earlier, which was ‘India cannot afford me’. He clarified it with this tweet where he states that he was in the lift when he was asked this question and that is when he replied in that manner, which he said was tongue-in-cheek.

He further clarified that the quote on Virat Kohli was made up and rubbished the claims as disappointing journalism. He wrote in a second tweet, “@imVkohli & I would work well together as a quote, this is totally made up. I never said that to anyone, very disappointing journalism.”
In the early 2000’s Shane Warne against Sachin Tendulkar was the battles that brought the world to a standstill, well Sachin got the better of him on most occasions also Sharjah 1998, who forgets that.
