Australia to play for MONEY in series decider at Dharamshala against India!

Australia might have a big fat cheque coming their way if they manage to beat India in the Border-Gavaskar series decider Test at Dharamshala

The Border-Gavaskar Trophy has been a controversial one since the Pune Test and with series nicely poised at 1-1 the Australians will be raring to seal the series with a win. But, the tussle between the two is not the only motive the Aussies have got to win the Dharamshala Test. Yeah, the headline is just not to click-bait you, the fate of the Dharamshala Test will literally decide whether Australia will get a half a million dollars in their pocket after April 1 cut-off or not?

Well, to give you a better understanding of the topic, International Cricket Council (ICC) gives out a cash prize for the top three Test teams ranked as on April 1. India are set to claim 1 million USD as they are ranked first with 121 rating points by their side. The neck-to-neck game is between Australia and South Africa who are ranked 2nd and 3rd with 109 and 107 rating points.

Australia would have to win the series decider at Dharamshala as there is only a 2 points difference in the rating points between them and the Proteas. Even if the Aussies settle for a draw, their fate will depend on the 3rd Test between South Africa and New Zealand. Both the Test will go hand-in-hand as the Proteas will be eyeing the second spot come last Test of their tout to New Zealand.

The Proteas are in good form in the ongoing series as they have beaten the Kiwis in the second Test quite convincingly by 8 wickets. The Aussies to have had a neck-to-neck series so far having been able to draw Ranchi Test. They have done really well against Virat Kohli & Co. as they were dominating every team that toured them recently including New Zealand, England and Bangladesh.
