All Anil Kumble supporters and Virat Kohli haters will change their mind after reading these dressing room conversations

Anil Kumble gave his resignation publicly and pointed on the captain to depict the rift. However, Virat Kohli is still quiet and no explanation has come from his side. The Virat Kohli version of the entire episode is left to be heard

After a long period of time, a new chapter of ‘Coach-Captain rift’ has begun in the Team India’s dressing room. We all remember the historic encounter between Sourav Ganguly and Greg Chappell in the mid-2000s and here comes the another chapter of rift between Anil Kumble and Virat Kohli. However, the outcomes of both the chapters are poles apart. Earlier, when the Chappell-Ganguly hustle was on the front page, the captain has to give up his throne to someone else from the team. But this time, the coach himself decided to step down from his post and hinted that the current Indian captain made it difficult for him to continue.

Anil Kumble stunned the world after he shared his resignation letter on the social media which clearly said,”the captain had reservations with his style”. But what the media reports have revealed are much heavier to gulp down.

As per an NDTV report, there were huge differences between the captain and the coach. Moreover, the coach treated the players like “school kids”. The report mentioned that Anil Kumble scolded all the players after they lost the big final to Pakistan in the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 on June 18 at Oval.

The players were already feeling terrible about the loss and amid all that, the coach scolded them like school kids and didn’t behave like professionals. The captain was very upset the way Anil Kumble dealt with the team, said the report.

Is this rift new?

The report also stated that the bitterness between the skipper and the coach was not new. The differences first cropped up during the Border-Gavaskar Test series against Australia. In the last Test in Dharamshala, Kumble decided to put left-arm wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav instead of injured Virat Kohli. However, it looked like Kohli didn’t have any idea about Kuldeep’s selection.

Who would rule the dressing room?

Secondly, both the coach and captain had a difference of opinions when it came to controlling the dressing room. Coach Anil Kumble wanted to regulate the players according to his strict and regimented style. While on the other side, the players didn’t find it helpful as they wanted to multi-task.

Well, Anil Kumble gave his resignation publicly and pointed on the captain to depict the rift. However, Virat Kohli is still quiet and no explanation has come from his side. The Virat Kohli version of the entire episode is left to be heard.

The Indian team is currently in West Indies and are all set to play the first ODI on June 23.
