Brett Lee and 4 cricketers who are famous Youtube singers. There is an Indian in this list – Watch

Suresh Raina too lent his voice for a Bollywood movie. The name of the film was 'Meeruthiya Gangsters'

Playing cricket requires great physical strength and mental know-how. Singing, on the other hand, is more a gifted talent which one can groom with practice. It is rare to find a cricketer who can sing, and that too professionally. However, there are cricketers who can do both with utmost ease and nonchalance. For example, AB de Villiers is not only good at hockey, badminton and swimming, but also knows how to use his larynx. He sings so well that he even released an album. But, for these cricketers who belong to this coveted list, realised much later in their lives that they can sing too. There is an Indian in the list, too!

For these cricketers who belong on this coveted list, the realisation of them being good singers came much later in their lives, when they had already established themselves in the sport. Check out the list (which also features an Indian!):

AB de Villiers: He is arguably the most multifaceted cricketer in the history of the game. He has represented his country in hockey, is a state-level badminton player, has also played football at the club level apart and even represented his nation at the junior level in rugby. AB de Villiers has crooned a number of Hindi songs in the past and has a pop album called “Maak Jou Drome Waar”(”Make your dreams come true”) to his credit. The album also features his best friend and teammate Faf du Plessis and songwriter Ampie du Preez. Here’s a video of him singing “Yeh Dosti” from the Hindi movie “Sholay” during the IPL a couple of years ago.

Brett Lee: The former Australian speedster was known to clean-bowl batsmen on the field, and off-the-field he does the same to girls with his singing prowess. Brett Lee used to be a part of the famous ‘Six & Out’ band. He strums the guitar and provides the vocals as well. After the gig, Brett joined long time friend and singer/songwriter Mick Vawdon and have formed their own band called ‘White Shoe Theory’. White Shoe Theory developed on a popular mainstream rock, with a growing collection of guitar themed songs, highlighted by strong vocal melody and harmonies. Indian fans would remember Brett Lee for uniting with Asha Bhonsle for the song “You’re the one for me”. This was a song written by Brett Lee himself.

Shane Watson: Mr. Watson is not too far behind when it comes to playing the guitar as well as singing. The Australian all rounder may not have been a part of an iconic band, but the shy guy can really sing well. In 2015, Watson played the guitar and sang a song at the IPL opening ceremony. He has collaborated with Brett Lee in the past to belt out hit tracks like, “Don’t Look Back In Anger”. Here is its video.

Dwayne Bravo: The West Indian all rounder is a true show stopper. Whatever he does becomes a rage instantly. He knows India a bit too well. He was a part of a dance reality show in India, called ‘Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa’. Bravo is very popular in India for his style and acrobatics on the field. He recently launched his music album “Chalo Chalo” which caught the attention of the media. He has also done numbers in Tamil.

Suresh Raina: Finally, here is the Indian southpaw who currently away from the Indian cricket team. But Suresh Raina too lent his voice for a Bollywood movie. The name of the film was ‘Meeruthiya Gangsters’.  Suresh Raina has never openly made tall claims of being a good singer, but he too sings and sings well. He later in an interview said that he sang in the film because his friend had insisted.
