Confident Virender Sehwag writes ‘2 Lines’ application for Indian coach job. BCCI asks please elaborate

Virender Sehwag, the veteran Indian cricketer, applied for the post of head coach of Team India a few days ago. As asked by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Sehwag has forwarded his appliocation but it contains only two lines about his qualifications. It seems He is so obsessed with his Twitter activities that he applied for Team India’s coach in just two lines.

His application said that he is ‘the mentor and a coach of Kings XI Punjab in the Indian Premier League and has played with all these (Indian) boys before’. 

According to an Indian Express (IE) report, the BCCI has asked him to send an elaborated version of the application. One of the sources in IE’s sources in the board said,”Sehwag being Sehwag has sent his application in two lines. However, he has been asked to attach his CV along with his application. It will the first time he will be appearing for an interview.”

The interview for the head coach of the Indian team will be conducted by BCCI’s Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) which consists Indian legends like Sourav Ganguly, Sachin Tendulkar and  VVS Laxman. The interview will be conducted from London while Sehwag would be interviewed on Skype

Apart from current coach Anil Kumble and Virender Sehwag, formers cricketers like Englishman Richard Pybus, Austalia’s Tom Moody, India’s Dodda Ganesh and domestic veteran Lalchand Rajput have also applied for the post. Meanwhile,  former Australian pacer Craig McDermott, who was was the full-time bowling coach for Australia from the 2013-14 Ashes series to last year’s World T20, also applied for the post but he won’t be called for the interview as his application was received after the last date of applying.
