Virat Kohli-led team India, who are touring Sri Lanka, thrashed the hosts in the opening One Day International by 9 wickets. Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli remained not out as they chased the target with utmost ease. Today, on 21st August, we found that Virat Kohli is exploring the wild with elephants along with Bollywood diva Anushka Sharma. It seems like the couple is having a ball in the Emerald Isle nation. But something else from the cricketing world is making news as well – BCCI’s Twitter handle has just breached the 5 million mark. It just goes onto show how widely is Indian cricket followed. With the Indian team having a dream run in Sri Lanka, they decided to do something interesting to celebrate BCCI Twitter reaching the mark.

BCCI recently uploaded a video, where cricketers from the Indian cricket team got together and made a GIF. Starring in the GIF is youngster Manish Pandey, Indian skipper Virat Kohli, former skipper MS Dhoni and middle order batsman Kedar Jadhav. They seem to be denoting the 5 million mark by using their hands.

Team India is on a purple patch after whitewashing Sri Lanka in the 3 Test series and then winning the limited over’s opener at Dambulla. They still have four more ODI’s to go and then there is a one-off T20I to round off the Lankan tour.

Virat Kohli has made it very clear that he is already using these matches to prepare for the 2019 cricket World Cup. So we could see changes in the team soon, like it will be interesting to see Manish Pandey getting a long rope. He has also been backing and showing faith in youngsters like Hardik Pandya and Kuldeep Yadav who have performed as per his expectations. It also seems like the Shastri-Kohli combination is working wonders for the men in blue.
