After Mithali Raj, Smriti Mandhana gives epic reply to a reporter for asking weird question about Women’s Indian Team

Smriti Mandhana is currently in her best batting form and wishes more than scoring a ton, i.e, lifting the World Cup. She is also the 2nd highest run getter of this tournament after scoring a total of 196 runs

The ICC Women’s Cricket World is underway in England and Wales while the Indian Women’s Cricket Team is having a soothing tournament so far. The women Team India has been unbeaten till now and currently, they are at number 2 in the points table after Australia. They have beaten the English hosts in the first game followed by defeating West Indies in their previous match. In both the games, opener Smriti Mandhana played some superb knocks. Against England, she missed her ton by just 10 runs, however, she successfully got her century in the next game. She was adjudged the Player of the MatchAs of now, she is also the 2nd highest run getter of this tournament after scoring a total of 196 runs.

On June 29, after beating West Indies by 7 wickets, Smriti attended the press conference where BBC journalist Henry Moeran asked her whether she thought Team India would be able to lift the WWC title. The Indian left-hand batswoman didn’t take mich time to give a befitting reply and said,”What? You don’t?”. Thereafter, the journo took to his Twitter account and shared Mandhana’s picture and wrote,”as good at the press conference as on the field.”

Smriti Mandhana is currently in her best batting form and wishes more than scoring a ton, i.e, lifting the World Cup. In the press conference, she said,”I didn’t work hard in the past months just to score  90 or a 100. I want to do well for India and win the World Cup for India.”

The Indian Women’s Cricket Team is currently one of the favourites in the ongoing world series. Apart from Smriti, skipper Mithali Raj has also showcased his batting skills in both the games. Though she missed his 7th consecutive 50 by 4 runs against West Indies but they she has been batting is commendable.
