IAF gets its first woman solo fighter pilot

Flying Officer Avani Chaturvedi recently completed a solo flight on a Mig 21 fighter pilot.
Flying Officer Avani Chaturvedi just created history after she recently became the first woman pilot of the Indian Air Force to complete a solo flight in a MiG-21 Bison fighter aircraft. She achieved this milestone in a half-an-hour long solo flight in the skies over Jamnagar Air Base on Monday.Hailing from Rewa district in Madhya Pradesh, the BTech graduate from Jaipur joined IAF in 2016. Chaturvedi is posted to No 23 Squadron (Panthers)
and is among the 3-member batch of India’s first women fighter pilots.
