Valentines Day 2017: 3 ways to make your lover feel special on Valentine’s Day

This Valentine's day, celebrate each other and remember what made you fall in love with the person that now holds the most special place in your heart

For all the people out there, cupid has decided to knock at your door this Valentine’s day? Are you getting anxious about how to make this year’s V-Day an unforgetful moment for your partner? Now you can do more than what you are planning to do on the special day. Remember, small gestures do matter! A simple rose or an ‘I love you’ will only bring a smile on your beloved’s face – that smile that you live for.

Pyar ke liye char pal kam nahi the
kabhi tum nahi the, kabhi ham nahi the
pyar ke hasin kab yeh mausam nahi the
kabhi tum nahi the, kabhi ham nahi the

In the hustle bustle of life, you often forget to steal those moments of intimacy which make you smile and bind you together. This one day can give you that excuse to celebrate each other and remember what made you fall in love with the person that now holds the most special place in your heart.

February 14 is a weekday this year. You can’t even call in sick because your boss and your professor have already issued an advisory saying ‘no leave requests will be accepted on Valentine’s day’. Seems like whoever wrote the line “Kitni shiddat se tumhe paane ki koshish ki hai.. Ki har zarre ne mujhe tumse milane ki saazish ki hai” did not take these bosses and professors into account. They just never allow these leaves!

So does that mean you won’t celebrate the day? Who said so! Of course, you can and you should! It’s about how you steal those moments through the day and say: You belong to me! (cheesy much? :P).

Here are three simple ideas for you to make this Valentine’s day extra special for your beloved:

Candle light dinner and a dance: This is the oldest idea that you could have got from anyone, but this just doesn’t lose its charm. Just go for a candle light dinner and dance on Elvis Presley’s ‘Can’t help falling in love with you’, you won’t be disappointed. You don’t need to even step out of your house for this. Order something or cook a dish your partner loves and have it under the dim light.

A long walk and a coffee: You have had a long day and are in no mood to have a fancy getaway but what about a simple walk and a cup of coffee to go with it? Remember, it was such moments that you had with each other which made you realise what you really feel about your partner. What better day to relive those memories that a day when the entire world is saying, I love you!

Leave short notes and messages: You may share your feelings every day with your beloved but it’s all the more personal when it comes in the form of handwritten notes or personalised messages. You don’t need to be an author or need to play with words to be able to write something special. Anything written by you from the heart will be treasured by your partner. So go, pen down your feelings.

PS: Remember to put your phones on silent and ignore all your work related messages. Give your partner the attention they deserve.
