To make India better, need to realise power of youth: PM Modi

He said the country has a lot more than just cricket and to identify talent we need to map sport persons at the district level.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that as majority of our population is below 35, there is a need to realise how power of youth can be materialised to make India better. While addressing to the ministries of Tourism, Culture and Sports in Kutch Via video conference he added that it is essential to understand the work we are doing particularly in the context of the changing the world.

Emphasizing on the importance of culture, PM Modi said that, “We can have great impact on the world with our vast cultural heritage, if we have a sense of pride for it. Everything ranging from the variety of music to food is a part of our cultural heritage which has to be put across the world”.

India being a cricket loving country, he said “The country has a lot more than just cricket and to identify talent we need to map sport persons at the district level therefore need for the hour is to have institutional arrangement that enables excellence in sports.”

As far as tourism is concerned, PM said that “India is blessed with so much potential and this can draw the world to the country and if we work towards targeted development we can maximise output while minimising costs”.
