This Bikaner Youth Paid Homage To Martyred Soldiers By Tattooing Their Names On Body

A Rajasthan youth has paid tribute to the soldiers in his own unique way.

There has been a huge outpour of support for the grieving families of the martyred CRPF personnel in Pulwama terror attack. From celebs to politicians, people, from different walks of life have come together to pay respect to the martyrs.

Now, a Rajasthan youth has paid tribute to the soldiers in his own unique way. Bikaner’s Gopal Saharan got tattooed names of as many as 71 martyred soldiers on his body, including those killed in the February Pulwama attack. A volunteer of city’s Bhagat Singh Youth Brigade, Saharan claims that by etching the name on his body he had ensured that their names will never be forgotten.

“We have been organising various ways of paying respects to the soldiers who sacrifice their lives for the country and after the Pulwama attack, I decided that I must do something that will ensure that their names live on and are remembered….” he told Times of India.  Apart from the 40 jawans who were martyred in the recent attack, he also has names of 31 soldiers killed in other incidents.

Around 40 CRPF personnel were killed on Thursday when their convoy was targeted by a suspected suicide bomber of Pakistan-backed Jaish-e-Mohammad in Pulwama district on the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway. On Friday, Major Chitresh Bisht also lost his life while diffusing a mine near the Line of Control. Just a day after Major Bisht’s death, four soldiers, including a major were killed in the Pulwama encounter.
