Not PM Modi, This MP Got The Loudest Applause At The Swearing-In

He was sworn-in as the Minister of State in the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises.

This 56-year-old MP from Odisha got the loudest applause from the 6000-strong crowd at Modi govt’s swearing-in ceremony in Rashtrapati Bhawan on May 30. Pratap Chandra Sarangi from Balasore, popularly known as ‘Odisha’s Modi’for his simple and austere lifestyle was sworn-in as the Minister of State in the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. A two-time MLA, Sarangi became popular after pictures of him outside his modest house went viral on social media. During the Lok Sabha 2019 polls, he was seen campaigning on a bicycle. He defeated BJD’s Rabindra Kumar Jena from Balasore a huge margin.
