A Muslim wedding reception was attacked by a Hindu mob in Jharkhand’s Koderma district over rumours of beef-eating.
Two family members of the newly married couple were injured. While as several houses of the minority community were vandalized. The mob also targeted the vehicles of the community
On Monday night, Jumman Miyan of Nawadih village in Domchanch area had hosted a reception for his son. Next morning few locals allegedly spotted parts of meat and hooves of an animal which attracted a huge mob from the majority community.
While police tried to reason with the crowd, some of them resorted to stone-pelting on the houses of minority community. Seven persons have been arrested for violence including two members from the minority community.
