In a daring rescue operation, a six-year-old boy from Pune who was trapped in a borewell was saved after 16 hours, thanks to the efforts of NDRF officials and local authorities. On February 20, Ravi Pandit Bhil from Ambegaon village accidentally fell into the 200 feet-deep feet borewell and was stuck 10 feet into the well.
Villagers spotted him and called the local police who later informed the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF). In an overnight operation that lasted for 16 hours, the officials brought the boy to safety. No injuries were found on Ravi.
