Gujarat Govt Official Says He’s ‘Kalki Avatar’, So Can’t Go To Work. Twitter LOLs hard

Best excuse ever or cause for alarm?

Today in why-so-bizarre, we bring to you the world’s most novel excuse. A government official from Gujarat, when sent a showcause notice said he cannot come to work because he’s the tenth incarnation of Lord Vishnu, Kalki.

Rameshchandra Fefar, who is the Superident Engineer with Sardar Sarovar Punarvasvar Agency, claims that he must do penance by ‘entering the fifth dimension to change glo conscience’, PTI reports. It is believed that the show-cause notice was sent because he had only attended work at his Vadodara office for 16 days in eight months.

The notice to him chided him for taking ‘unauthorised leave as a gazetted officer’.

Talking to the media, Fefar said,”Even if you don’t believe, I am indeed the tenth incarnation of Lord Vishnu and I will prove it in coming days. I realised that I am Kalki Avatar when I was in my office in March 2010. Since then, I am having divine powers.”

“I am doing penance at home by entering into fifth dimension to change the global conscience,” he continued. To explain why he hasn’t been going to work, Fefar said that one cannot do penance ‘sitting in office’. He also took credit for the rainfall India has been experiencing, declaring that it was his penance that resulted in it.

Fefar wants the Sardar Sarovar Punarvasvar Agency, where he’s still employed, to figure out whether they’d like him to ‘save the country from drought’ or sit at work.

Twitter, of course, is enjoying the show:

He is in pro level of insanity __.

When I wrote The Krishna Key, I never imagined that someone who imagined himself as Kalki Avatar would actually pop up https://t.co/WpuNfKPsB9
