From Rs ZERO to Rs 3.5 Lakh, these are the monthly salaries of our Chief Ministers

Putting an end to all the speculations around the salaries of the most popular chief ministers here is how they actually earn every month

A politician’s income has always been a subject of keen interest. We often discuss the assets of the high-profile politicians in the country, and the perks or freebies they receive. But seldom do we discuss the salaries of the people who run different states in the country.

Before we tell you about how much the chief ministers of the state earn, let us first enlighten you about how much Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the 14th President Ram Nath Kovind earn. While the Prime Minister gets a monthly salary of Rs 1,58,000 the President gets paid Rs 1,50,000 every month.

Also, did you know who is the highest paid chief minister of the country? Surprisingly, some of the chief ministers earn much more than even the Prime Minister and President of the country. For example, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is apparently the highest paid Chief Minister with a monthly salary of Rs 3,50,000. Also, Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis, who is believed to be second highest paid CM of the country, earns Rs 2,25,000 monthly.

Meanwhile, Mamata Banerjee does not accept any monthly salary she is entitled to as the Chief Minister of West Bengal. If reports are to be believed, she also does not use the official car provided to her. Without further ado, here are the monthly salaries of different chief ministers of the state.
