For years, we have seen how the phrase, “Bura na mano Holi hai” has been used for carrying out mischievous acts during the auspicious occasion and serves as an excuse to overlook consent. Days before Holi 2018, a grave incident came to light in the national capital wherein a group of unidentified men hurled semen-filled balloon at a female student from Delhi University. The incident drew a lot of flak over how consent was forgotten through the excuse of Holi.
InUth spoke to young girls who talked about the episode and narrated similar incidents from their own lives.
