‘An Accident’ Says UP CM Of Bulandshahr Cop Killing. Twitter Asks If Investigations Are Over

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has termed the SHO Subodh Kumar Singh death 'an accident

Uttar Pradesh police may not have completed their investigation into the gruesome mob killing of Bulandshahr cop Subodh Kumar Singh, but Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has already termed the SHO’s death ‘an accident’.

“No mob lynching happened in Uttar Pradesh, what happened in Bulandshahr is an accident. Law is taking its own course. The guilty will not be spared,” the UP CM said at an event in Delhi. Yogi Adityanath also warned the administration that police officers will be held accountable if illegal slaughtering takes place in the areas they’re responsible for.

“Not only cow slaughter but illegal slaughtering has also been completely banned in UP, and if anybody is found indulging in it then DM and SP will be held accountable,” he added. Interestingly, just a couple of days ago, the chief minister had said that the UP incident was part of a larger conspiracy and all those involved in it should be arrested.

Meanwhile, UP government has transferred three police officials including district’s top cop Senior Superintendent of Police, Krishna Bahadur Singh. So far, the police have arrested eight of the accused, however the main conspirator Yogesh Raj, the district convener of the Bajrang Dal and Jeetu Fauji, another key suspect in Singh’s death, remain missing. The role of Malik alias Jeetu Fauji in the killing of Inspector Singh surfaced after a purported video of the mob violence circulating on social media allegedly shows him opening fire.
