The moment the first trailer for ‘Vir Das: Abroad Understanding‘ was released, we knew it was going to be absolutely awesome. The show is the first Indian-produced Netflix original and has now gone live on the streaming site. Just to give you some perspective, other comedians, who have had their own shows on Netflix, include internationally acclaimed persons such as, Kevin Hart, Louis CK, Aziz Ansari, Chris Rock, Bo Burnham, Bill Burr and Russel Peters.
Abroad Understanding will feature footage from two cities, New Delhi and New York, pieced together as Das talks on the subjects of racism, social injustice, homophobia, religion, etc. “In about three seconds, we are going to cut to 200 clueless Americans sitting in a comedy club,” Das said in the trailer.

The show is available for streaming on Netflix across 100 countries and is already being showered with love. “Watched “Abroad Understanding” on @NetflixIndia @thevirdas U r Damn awesome..splendid,” said one user on Twitter. “@thevirdas just saw ‘Abroad Understanding’ woke up my wife and am in the doghouse for laughing so hard.
