Rajkummar Rao’s half bald look for Bose goes viral but director Hansal Mehta wants everyone to wait

Rajkummar Rao has gone half bald to play the character of Subhash Chandra Bose for a web series Bose that will be available on ALTBalaji from 15 August

Rajkumar Rao, who has proved his mettle in Bollywood with his versatile and remarkable acting skills on silver screen, is set to rule another character. This time, Rao has gone half bald for his forthcoming project, a web series Bose in which he is playing the character of Subhash Chandra Bose. The web series will be aired on Ekta Kapoor’s web channel ALT Balaji on August 15 and has been directed by Hansal Mehta. Rao has never backed down from experimenting with his looks in the industry. He is said to have gained around 10 kgs to get into the skin of the character.

Director Hansal Mehta, however, asked everyone to be a little patient and not jump to the conclusion that this is Rajkummar’s first look. He tweeted:

Rumoured that Rajkummar is sporting this particular look for Bose began with his tweet. In a tweet that he posted yesterday, the Trapped actor gave an insight about his look:

The 32-year-old actor will share the screen for the show with actress Patralekhaa. He will portray the role of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose while Patralekhaa will portray the role of an elitist. Rajkumar Rao, Patralekhaa and Hansal Mehta have reunited again after 2014 release Citylights.

Recently, Rao played the role of a 324-year-old man in Raabta and was unrecognisable in the movie. For this, he gave 16 look tests before the makers finalised the look in the movie.
