“What the actual f*#k!” Hollywood appalled by Donald Trump’s unanticipated victory

As Trump cleared his way to the White House after defeating Hillary Clinton in the US Presidential Elections 2016, reactions poured in from across the world.

In what came as a terrifying shock to everyone, Republican Party’s Presidential candidate Donald Trump defeated his rival Hillary Clinton in the US Presidential Elections 2016. As Trump cleared his way to the White House, reactions poured in from across the world, some surprised, some congratulatory, and some terrified.

Most of the celebrities responded with anger and hatred towards the election of Donald Trump as President of the United States. Before the results were declared, there were hardly a few people campaigning for Trump. Everyone rallied behind Hillary Clinton as they believed in her “Stronger Together” campaign. Most of the anger is directed towards racist and misogynistic remarks Trump has made in the past including his popular studio album “Grab ’em by the pussy” with extended verses of “when you’re a star, they (women) let you do it”.

Another problem with Trump’s victory is his indifference to minority communities. Although in his victory speech, Trump claimed to be fair to all communities, his past tells a different story. Trump has opposed immigration for the sake of more job opportunities for Americans. He has also suggested a stringent vetting process for Muslim migrants to make America safe (again). Apparently, all Muslims are terrorists in his eyes.

Katy Perry, who heavily endorsed and campaigned for Clinton, refused to give up and tweeted, “WE WILL NEVER BE SILENCED. #LOVETRUMPSHATE.” In another tweet, she said, “Do not sit still. Do not weep. MOVE. We are not a nation that will let HATE lead us.” Singer Ariana Grande was deeply taken aback and said that she was in tears because of the results. “Well this is utterly terrifying,” she said.

Our very own Captain America, Chris Evans was embarrassed with the outcome of the elections, “This is an embarrassing night for America. We’ve let a hatemonger lead our great nation. We’ve let a bully set our course. I’m devastated.”

Interstellar actress Jessica Chastain tweeted, “The positive element from all this is that we can no longer pretend that we are free of racism & sexism. The question is, what do we do now?”

Some didn’t like Bush. Some didn’t like Obama. But this is different. Forget dislike. Many are genuinely fearful now. This is new.

This kind of shock will cause people to actually think…about what’s possible and how we imagine the future.
