The Los Angeles police have arrested a 47-year-old man, who’s accused of stealing Frances McDormand’s Best Actress Oscar trophy. In a video posted on Facebook, the accused—Terry Bryant—can be seen posing with and kissing the Oscar statuette at the after-party:

In the video, Bryant can be seen congratulating himself and then turning around and asking people to congratulate him for winning the Oscar.

According to Associated Press, when Bryant was confronted, he handed the award back to the police without any argument and objection. He was detained by security guards and arrested by Los Angeles police officers and the award was returned to McDormand. This is the first time that an Oscar got stolen.

McDormand’s publicist, Simon Halls said,

“After some brief time apart, Frances and her Oscar were happily reunited. They celebrated the reunion with a double cheeseburger from In-N-Out Burger.”

At the 90th Academy Awards that took place on Sunday, Frances McDormand won the Best Actress for her outstanding performance in Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri. She won her first Oscar in 1996 for Fargo and won accolades for her roles in a number of movies like Mississippi Burning (1998), Almost Famous (2000), Wonder Boys (2000) and North Country (2005).
