Twinkle Khanna’s tweet on Right To Privacy and Triple Talaq is like hitting two birds with one stone

Twinkle Khanna reacted on the triple talaq and Right To Privacy verdict by the Supreme Court. Here's what she said

Twinkle Khanna has never shied away from voicing her opinion on various social and political issues. Our Mrs Funny Bones was recently in news for posting a picture of a man defecating on the beach on Twitter following the release of Toilet: Ek Prem Katha . Despite facing incessant trolling on social media, she posted the photograph for the second time.

Now, Twinkle has posted a tweet with a joke between a couple against the backdrop of the Supreme Court judgement on Right to Privacy and triple talaq. “Man:Where are u going? Fed-up Wife:Don’t have to tell you #RightToPrivacy now! Man:Talaq Talaq Talaq!Wife:TooLate TooLate Toolate #WhatAWeek,” she posted. The tweet has garnered around 2,000 retweets and more than 6.000 likes.

Besides her, Amitabh Bachchan too reacted on the apex court judgement which set aside triple talaq, a form of divorce among Muslims.”The judgement speaks for itself and we can’t argue with the law of our country,” he said during the launch event of Kaun Banega Crorepati 9.

The Supreme Court by a majority verdict on August 22 brought down the practice of divorce through instant triple talaq among Muslims, saying the practice was void, illegal and unconstitutional.

Twinkle’s witty remark on both the issue evoked applause from Twitterati, with several followers commenting “Well said” and “Bull’s Eye”.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court on August 24 declared the Right to Privacy a fundamental right under the Constitution. A nine-judge constitutional bench headed by Chief Justice JS Khehar ruled that right to privacy is protected intrinsically as part of rights guaranteed under Article 21 of the Constitution.
